Creating an infographic, report, or pitch deck often requires collaboration.
There are either teammates, clients, or reviewers. You might want to share your visual project with them to split the work, gather feedback, or get final approval before sharing your design with a broader audience.
That’s why in 2018, we launched the Piktochart Team plan.
Seeing how this plan enabled both small and large teams to create visuals more effectively made us realize that limiting collaboration to just one plan isn’t the way to go.
We wanted to give everyone a chance to work better together and experience the full potential of Piktochart.
So, as of August 14 2021 we’ll be rolling out some product updates that will enable collaboration across all plans.
Below, you will find a recap of all these changes.
Free plan updates
Work with three additional editors
Now, you will be able to invite teammates who have wanted to create visuals or have been using Piktochart on a separate free account.
Here are the features we will launch to let you and your teammates use Piktochart together:
- Collaborative workspace: Invite up to 3 additional members to create, organize, and edit visuals in your workspace.
- Folders: Create a folder to organize your visuals.
- Sharing & commenting: Share visuals with your team, leave comments, and ask for feedback.
Additional download formats
Many of our free users who create resumes, presentations, or reports with Piktochart have asked us for additional download formats. That’s why, on top of PNG, we will be enabling downloads in PDF and PPT so that free users can get more out of their designs.
New 2 downloads limit
To continue to make Piktochart available for free, we’ve introduced a two-download limit on new visuals for Free plan users. The limit does not apply to previous downloads. If you need unlimited downloads down the road, you can upgrade to Piktochart Pro – starting at just $14/month.
Pro plan updates
Work with additional editors
With the update, you’ll be able to invite additional members to your collaborative workspace in the Pro plan. Once you invite your teammates, you can create, organize, and edit visuals together. If you need a second pair of eyes on a visual you are working on, share it with your workspace members and gather feedback through comments.
Saved Templates
If you follow the same presentation or report style for monthly or quarterly updates, it might make sense to save it as a template. You will be able to do it in Piktochart. Any workspace member may save their work as a template for other members to use. To learn how to do it, check out this support article.
More Storage
With more members, you need more storage for all the images you and your team might use in visual projects. That’s why we will be doubling the image storage in your account to 100GB.
Team plan updates
Team plan replaced with Pro and Enterprise
All Team plan subscribers with less than 25 users in their team account will be migrated to the Piktochart Pro plan. At the same time, any Teams with more than 25 users will be migrated to the new Enterprise plan. Both migrations will be automatically initiated with the first login after the release of the new plan goes live on August 7.
Small changes to the dashboard
After the migration, you will notice two changes in your dashboard. First of all, we have renamed “Team” to “Workspace”. Use it to create, organize, and edit visuals together with your teammates. We have merged settings into one page. You will be able to access all the settings related to your personal and team workspace through the “Settings & Members” menu.
Moving of visuals
Due to privacy concerns, we had to disable the option of moving visuals between your personal and workspace accounts. When creating a visual that you intend to share with your team, make sure that you create it in the shared workspace.
What you can expect
We are rolling out the new Free, Pro, and Enterprise plan on August 14, 2021. During this release, we will need to log out all the users from their active sessions. This means that any unsaved changes might be lost. We highly recommend that you proactively save any visuals you are working on before August 14. All existing visuals, folders, templates, and brand assets will be automatically moved to the new plan. Over the coming week, we’ll continue giving our users a heads-up both via email and in the Piktochart app.
What’s ahead?
As we continue rebuilding Piktochart to better fit your specific visual storytelling needs, we’re busy working on a new, better editor, and giving you the freedom to pay for additional downloads in Free plan. We’re excited to share some more updates with you in the coming months.
