Presentations remain one of the best ways to share information to a group of people. You’ve only got 15 minutes to pack all your research and share a few key takeaways. And as you prepare your presentation, designing one can be a huge time eater.

To harness the power of AI and take the stress away from creating your presentation, we’ve researched and tested eight of the best AI presentation makers to save you time comparing all of them.

How we picked the best AI presentation makers

Overall, we looked at how much of the heavy lifting the tool did in making the slide deck. As AI tools continue to become more sophisticated over time,

  • How easy it is to integrate into workflow
  • Compatibility – How does the tool fit into your existing workflows and processes?
  • Quality – Does the AI generate high-quality, contextual content?
  • Layout and design – Can the AI create a variety of different slide designs tailored for the purpose of the presentation?
  • Usability – How much additional work would it take before someone can use the slides?

1. Piktochart AI Presentation Maker

A versatile tool that excels at converting complex data into visually appealing infographic-style presentations. An AI presentation tool specializing in infographic and visual content creation. Converts documents and text into designed slides in 10 seconds. Best suited for businesses needing quick turnaround on professional presentations and marketing materials.

Let’s kickstart this list off with Piktochart’s AI presentation maker

A simple prompt generates dozens of templates suitable for all sorts of slide decks, whether you need to pitch to a board of investors or report on fiscal earnings.

Our intuitive tool turns text descriptions or documents into polished visuals in just seconds—ideal for when speed and style both matter.

I uploaded some text for a fictitious plant-based food startup, and asked the AI presentation maker to suggest some layouts.

From the dozens of templates, I picked one that had the right vibe for my startup.

I wasn’t keen on the color palette, though. Thankfully, it’s easy to change by clicking on the “Colors” tab.

I also noticed that the outline was missing a slide sharing my sales figures, which is critical to getting buy-in from investors and VCs. With Piktochart, you can add in additional slides in the “Content” tab, and click on the plus icon between the slides, or click on “Add New Page”.

After you’ve named the slide to what you want, you can regenerate the outline and Piktochart AI will populate the text and designs for you.

In the end, I was pretty pleased with the results! Just needed to tweak a few numbers and text in our editor, and the presentation was ready to share with VCs for seed funding. And making the pitch deck only took four minutes.

It might take a few minutes longer if you don’t already have your content prepared, but most of the time will be spent picking the right templates and editing the details.

With free access and affordable pro plans, Piktochart AI delivers swift, professional results that make visual content creation effortless.

2. STORYD

STORYD promise: business decks built in 60 seconds. By turning raw data into persuasive narratives, this tool appeals to marketers, consultants, and entrepreneurs who need results fast. Its AI generates ideas, builds slides, and integrates interactive content, though over-reliance on templates can make slides feel formulaic.

Signing up and creating my slide deck was easy, as free users receive five credits. It took about a minute for the presentation templates to populate, but overall the creation process was very quick and the presentation was clean.

However, I noticed there were fewer features than expected, such as images or icons. Changing colors also took longer than anticipated, when I asked the editor to change the color palette from blue to green.

While the AI presentation maker created a solid foundation, I needed to spend more time tweaking it until I was happy with the final result. Overall, STORYD may be suitable if you like to edit your deck slide by slide.

Overall, I was satisfied with the slide deck it produced after 10 minutes of editing.

You can change elements or layout from the left sidebar.

Editing the slides was straightforward. Most of the images and text were appropriate, and you’re able to add or remove slides with ease.

4. Gamma

Built with busy professionals in mind, Gamma stands out for its AI-powered ability to generate presentations from your existing documents and data.

Whether you need an investor deck or training materials, its intuitive system drafts slides and layouts from scratch, saving both time and decision fatigue. The free plan comes with a generous 400 AI credits, though some users may find the lack of monthly credit refills restrictive. Ideal for professionals and teams, Gamma provides a streamlined way to craft compelling, visually pleasing presentations at a competitive price.

As you can see from my final slide deck, I found Gamma.ai to be slightly clunky to use due to the small icons. You can add charts fairly easily, but I noticed you can’t delete them from the slides if the chart is already part of the template, which was somewhat disappointing. Furthermore, the AI images contain the hallmarks of AI-generated pictures, like non-sensical writing and people with six fingers.

Most Suited For

Consultants, market researchers, and business analysts who need to transform detailed reports into engaging presentations quickly.

Use Cases

  • Converting research papers into slide decks
  • Building investor pitch presentations
  • Creating training materials from documentation
  • Developing client-facing project updates

  • Smart content extraction from documents

5. Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft’s AI integration leverages your existing Microsoft 365 ecosystem to enhance presentation creation.

Source: Microsoft

Built right into PowerPoint as part of Microsoft 365, Copilot adds the power of AI to your favorite presentation platform. By automating content creation and design tasks, it speeds up workflows and enhances productivity for businesses already in the Microsoft ecosystem.

At $30 per user per month, it’s not the cheapest, but if you’re deep into Microsoft’s suite, Copilot feels like a natural next step. Full disclosure; as our organization doesn’t use Microsoft 365, I was unable to test this software.

Most Suited For

Enterprise professionals and teams already using Microsoft tools who need seamless integration with their existing workflows.

Use Cases

  • Transforming Word documents into PowerPoint slides
  • Generating presentations from meeting notes
  • Creating data visualizations from Excel
  • Building training materials from existing content

Pros

  • Deep Microsoft 365 integration
  • Automated slide suggestions
  • Real-time content generation
  • Smart formatting tools
  • Enterprise-grade security

Cons

  • Requires Microsoft 365 subscription
  • Complex feature set needs time to master

6. Presentations.ai

A specialized AI tool built for professionals who need to maintain brand consistency while creating data-driven presentations rapidly.

Presentations.ai auto does much of the heavy lifting in creating the content, as it generates the information which you can edit thereafter. After you submit your prompt, it churns out a done-for-you slide deck.

I found there were minimal additions I needed to make. However, there were limited choices when it came to charts or diagrams. I also discovered some template slides didn’t support certain elements that meant limited customization.

That said, I found the app provided better image choices than other AI presentation makers.

Most Suited For

Business strategists, corporate communicators, and consultants who regularly create branded presentations with complex data.

Use Cases

  • Strategy deck creation
  • Corporate communications
  • Marketing performance reports
  • Business case presentations

Pros

  • Quick AI-generated designs
  • Brand template integration
  • Time-saving automation features
  • Consistent styling across decks
  • Professional template library

Cons

  • Limited creative flexibility
  • Occasional technical glitches
  • AI suggestions need refinement
  • Basic customization options

Pricing

  • Free trial
  • Public Beta: $120/year
  • Pro: $198/year

7. Slidebean

Particularly valuable for professionals creating investor-focused presentations and business proposals.

Slidebean takes the guesswork out of pitch decks, combining AI smarts with professional-grade designs in seconds. Whether you’re gearing up for an investor presentation or launching your next startup idea, its templates are tailored specifically to entrepreneurs. The free version offers a solid starting point, but unlocking its full potential comes at $96/year.

After tinkering with the app, I can share that there is very limited usability on the free version. It created a 15-slide presentation, but I found the layouts were plain and image choices weren’t that relevant.

If anything, I felt that the number of slides were too many for my liking. You must upgrade to a paid plan to share your slide deck, which is why I’m unable to share the final draft.

Most Suited For

Startup founders and marketers looking for minimalist presentations.

Use Cases

  • Investor pitch decks
  • Financial projections
  • Business proposals
  • Market analysis presentations

Pros

  • AI-driven financial slide layouts
  • Professional design automation
  • Quick content organization
  • Built-in presentation analytics
  • Industry-specific templates

Cons

  • Limited template flexibility
  • Some design elements fixed
  • Basic animation options
  • Restricted customization

Pricing

  • Free trial
  • Starter: $10/month
  • Accelerate: $99/month

8. Slidesgo AI

Slidesgo AI combines simplicity and versatility, generating highly customizable slideshows that fit nearly any purpose. With vast resources from Freepik and Flaticon integrated into its system, this free-to-use tool makes creating professional slides a breeze.

The output is clean and easy on the eye, and the editor is simple to use with drag and drop functionality.

However, the prompt process allowed for little information upload. I found that being unable to share more information beforehand meant the text wasn’t tailored to my request, meaning the slide deck felt generic.

Slidesgo AI is good to create a foundational layout. Just keep in mind that it needs significant editing afterwards.

Most Suited For

Business professionals and consultants who need both creative freedom and professional templates.

Use Cases

  • Business strategy presentations
  • Financial reports
  • Project proposals
  • Market analysis decks

Pros

  • Freepik integration
  • Flaticon resource access
  • Full design customization
  • Cloud-based workflow
  • Diverse template styles

Cons

  • No advanced analytics
  • Limited offline features
  • Basic export options

Pricing

  • Free: Limited downloads
